It’s Friday so you know what that means; another confession from yours truly. The difference it that this is the Halloween Edition. So for this week confession are the Top 6 Jump Scares that get me all the time no matter how many times I’ve watch and seen these movies. For those of you who don’t know what an jump scares are, here is the definition according to wikipendia:
Jump scares are a technique often used in horror films and video games which attempt to scare the viewer by surprising them with a sudden or unexpected event. The jump scare has been described as “one of the most basic building blocks of horror movies”. While many like jump scares, some describe them as a lazy way to frighten viewers.
Now that I go that out of the way, here are my Top 6 Jump Scares:
It’s stupid but that damn clap game that’s in the movie The Conjuring. I know it’s going but yet my body reacts every times. It always makes me jump out of my skin. The movie isn’t all that bad even. If you haven’t seen it I suggest you give it a try.
Coming up next is that damn backyard scene in Sinister. Now this movie isn’t all that scary at least to me but every time I watch that scene always gets to me. Damn you Bughuul.
Alright I show this movie in the theatres and this scene make me drop my damn nachos. I watched at home and I still jump out of my seat. Maybe it’s the surround sound or watching in the dark but every damn time this particular scene. I’m talking about The Descent. Yes the Night Vision Scene.
Look I already know the bitch is going to get dragged to her death but I still jump at this part. Yes I talking about Quarantine. It’s not better than the original REC but it’s still a decent movie that I like to watch every now and again.
NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET
Yeah, yeah I know what you’re thinking. This movie is so old why would it make you jump? Well the final scene in Nightmare on Elm Street is just a classic and whenever I watch it gets me. I know silly but sometimes you forget the little details from an old movie and that’s the best part. It all seems new to you and that final scene is one of them. I keep forgetting about that shit whenever I bring out the classics.
THE SIXTH SENSE
I think everyone know what scene I’m talking about when I say The Sixth Sense. Kyra Collins. I wasn’t the only one to jump in the movie theatre. I wasn’t the only one to jump while watching at home. That damn scene gets me all the time. (I couldn’t find a video that would let me embed the scene so here is the still shot)
So there you have it. My Top 6 Jump Scares that get me all the time. Are there any movie scenes that make you jump. I would like to know. So leave you comment down below. Thanks for stopping by. You’re the best
