July is here and that means a summer of excitement and adventure. Pool parties and vacation(if you’re lucky). It also means the start of A Month of Indies.
What is that you ask?
Well basically it’s my way of showing support to all the hardworking Indie Authors out there. Okay maybe I shouldn’t say all because I technically don’t know how many indie authors are out there but you get the idea. It a way to spread awareness and show love to the courageous people who didn’t let rejections from big publishing houses get there down. It’s for the ones that followed their dreams and got shit done.
Not for nothing but you dear readers might be missing out on some wonderful stories and you don’t even know because let’s face it–indie books get a bad rap. No fault of their own but some people believe independent published books aren’t good because they don’t have a big publishing company backing them. Or it might be filled with back grammar or the covers aren’t appealing.
I’ll admit I was one of those persons but as I got older I got more mature and my thoughts has changed. I’ve read some amazing books that happen to be indie published. I hope with A Month of Indies you to will find a book and give it a chance. You never know, it might be one of you top reads of 2015.
Before I go I would like to thank so of the amazing book bloggers that are helping with A Month of Indies. All of these fantastic people are so kind and wonderful and they make the book blogging community that much better. You should definitely follow these awesome people. You won’t regret it.
So there you have it. Tomorrow I will list the authors that will be featured throughout the month as well as when you can find them on social media. Also be on the lookout for giveaways. Yes that’s right each author that is featured will giveaway a signed copy of their book or an ebook. The raffle will officially go up Monday since you know July 4th weekend and everything. People aren’t worried about giveaways until after the 4th lol.
As always thank you for stopping by. Would love to hear your thoughts so please leave a comment.
