I thrust my hand toward the sky as my voice begs the Elemental inside me to waken and rise. But it’s no use. The curse I’ve spent my entire life abhorring—the thing I trained so hard to control—no longer exists.
Nym risked her life to save Faelen, her homeland, from a losing war, only to discover that the shapeshifter Draewulf has stolen everything she holds dear. But when the repulsive monster robs Nym of her storm-summoning abilities as well, the beautiful Elemental realizes her war is only just beginning.
Now powerless to control the elements that once emboldened her, Nym stows away on an airship traveling to the metallic kingdom of Bron. She must stop Draewulf. But the horrors he’s brought to life and the secrets of Bron are more than Nym bargained for. Then the disturbing Lord Myles tempts her with new powers that could destroy the monster, and Nym must decide whether she can compromise in the name of good even if it costs her very soul.
As she navigates the stark industrial cityscape of Bron, Nym is faced with an impossible choice: change the future with one slice of a blade . . . or sacrifice the entire kingdom for the one thing her heart just can’t let go.
Okay I don’t know how well this review is going to go because the fangirl in me doesn’t know how to act. Can I just say that Siren’s Fury is pure perfection.
First let me thank author Mary Weber for giving me a signed copy of Siren’s Fury. You truly are a ROCK STAR. The Storm Siren series proves that. Also because I totally geeked out when I received this awesome bookmail. Anyways, I’ve been following this wonderful person since the beginning Even had the chance to do 5 Quick Questions with her. I hope to do it again sometime in the future. For the interview you can see that here.
Still fangirling here. Still in awe over Siren’s Fury and how great this book was and how it got me all in my feels. I was on edge the entire I was reading.
Let me tell you that Nym story get even better. Yes she is still dealing with self-harm and the shame that comes with be we do get to see her grow throughout the book. Although at times she does makes rash decisions but it’s completely understandable. I’m sure you would do anything in your powers to save the ones you love. But seriously, I was not expecting that revelation about Nym. You got to read the book to know what I’m talking about. It’s a big surprise. My jaw was literally on the floor.
Mary Weber you are one hell of a writer for that one.
If you have not read Storm Siren (which you should because it’s f—ing awesome) I suggest you now read anymore. Tiny spoilers ahead.
If you don’t know Nym is an Elemental. On top of that she’s a female elemental which is rare since only males are born elemental. In Siren’s Fury Nym has lost her powers on top of that Draewulf has taking over Eogan. The beautiful brown skinned brother that has stolen Nym’s heart. Can you say sexy? Yes he is fiiiinnne.
Anyways, Nym must do everything in her powers to stop the unimaginable but like I said her powers are gone. Completely and utterly gone. To make matters worse she has to get help from that snaky bastard Myles. He’s such a devious condescending asshole but you can see that he can be so much more if he wasn’t power hungry and narcissist. To be honest Nym doesn’t know who to trust since everybody has their own reasons for wanting to defeat D. Nym is play with a double-edged sword.
Suggestion to Mary Weber. Please write a novella with Myles backstory because I need to get inside that deceitful mind of his.
Okay back to Siren’s Fury. Even though this book is a little slow paced and more political, I love seeing the relationship that develops between Rasha and Myles (even though they both are hiding things from Nym) as they tried to defeat and stop Draewulf nefarious plan. Plus there is more world building. Something that I appreciate in fantasy. This time we get to travel to Eogon homeland and see how he live. Let me say that it something to be desired.
One thing that irked me in Siren’s Fury was Nym and her knives. It was like girl, either throw them and kill the MFer or keep them in your boot straps. I don’t know how many time she unsheathed her knives from somewhere off her person but it was enough times that I got annoyed.
Overall, Siren’s Fury is that book you need to get your hands on quick. It’s filled with deception, calculated risk, action, surprising revelations, bonding friendships and new darker powers. Above all Draewulf is one evil MFer with no remorse. Creatyvebooks highly recommend this book/series.

About the Author
M. Christine Weber is a ridiculously uncoordinated girl plotting to take over make-believe worlds through books, handstands, and imaginary throwing knives. She lives on the breathtaking California coast with her three homeschooled children and an engineering husband who looks strikingly similar to Wolverine.
