The Image Below Explains It All

book-hangoverThe struggle is real. I can’t decide or move on to the next book. I really want to start I’ll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios or My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga but every time I open a book I stare blankly at the pages. My mind drifting back to the previous book that I’ve just read two days ago. UGH.

To the author that wrote the damn good book–kudos to you. But sometimes I really do hate when I can’t move on to the next book. Life is too short and I have so many books on my shelf and tbr list that I need to get through in this lifetime.

Do anybody else have this problem or go through this after reading a book? If so, what book and how long did it last?

Leave a comment below with your answer. Thanks.

  • It depends… Sometimes it comes down to instinct. I was going back and forth between Jay Kristoff’s Stormdancer and Laini Taylor’s Daughter Of Smoke And Bone after finishing a book last weekend. And then I remembered that I wanted to get started on my “market research” for fairy novels. That last bit pushed me in the direction of Julie Kagawa’s The Iron King, which I’m reading now. There are other times when I know what I want to read right away and stick with it, though. *shrugs* It’s different every time, I guess….?
