So I’m finding that December is a busy time for me. Not only have I read 4 books in the last 2 weeks but I’ve been lagging behind in my blogging. Not good. I at least want to have 3-5 post a week. But what’s a girl to do when she has family dinners to plan. Yes, it seems that I’m cooking Christmas dinner. This is after I cooked Thanksgiving dinner. At this moment on time I wish I was like my sister—she can’t boil water or even cook an egg. Sad really.
On top of that I still have some Christmas shopping to do. I do hope it doesn’t seem like I’m bragging because that is not my intention. I just love giving personalize gifts to my friends and family. Just the way I am. Plus still working on that giveaway that I promised for hitting my milestone. So much work and so little time.
Anyway, I thought I would play a little catch with A Month of Favorites. You do remember what that was…right? Well let me recap for you. It’s a theme base posting event hosted by Traveling with T, Estella’s Revenge and Girl XOXO. I started off with a bang but I lost momentum because I been so busy. I’ve missed a lot of days.
With that being said I shall start from the 9th of December and work my way down. I might skip some days as I don’t want this post to be too long. So here we go.
Day 9 : Fave New-to-Me Author Discoveries.
Hands down Jennifer Longo. If you don’t know by now, I’m in love with this book called Six Feet Over It. I talk about this book a lot to the point of obsession. Creepy I know but this book is so good that I wish more people would give it a chance. Leigh is one of my top most memorable characters. She is well written/develop and has a unique voice like no other. Six Feet Over It is a dark and witty humorous gem for all ages. Also it involves a Graveyard. Let that sink in while I move along because I could write a whole thesis on why I love this book some much.
Day 12 : Picking Favorites
Like I said before I’ve been super busy so I haven’t gotten around to as many blogs as I would like but the ones I did get too had some amazing book choices but the one that stood out the most was Traveling with T. She has the most attention grabbing list that I have seen. Because of this lady and her wonderful blog my TBR list has grown drastically. A lot vintage looking books that I wish to add to my collection.
Day 16 : Top 10 Books That Blew My Mind in 2014
So here’s the thing. I’m going to do my Top 14 in 2014. Yeah I know cheesy and everybody and they mama is probably thinking or doing the same thing but I’ve read some amazing books this year and the number 10 was not enough. Anyways, I don’t want to bore you twice with my list so I will be skipping this one. I will say that Storm Siren, The Name of the Wind, Fangirl, The Beauty of the Broken and many more have made the list.
Day 17 : 5 Fave Winter Reads
Ha! This is an easy one and I sort of cheated with this one. It should be no surprise but I love reading JK Rowling’s Harry Potter series. I read Harry Potter in October for Halloween if I’m in the mood. Or most often than not I save it for the Winter. And that is what I did last year. Read the series from start to finish. It’s so magical and enchanting. Who wouldn’t read it during the Christmas holiday?
And so there you have it. I caught up as best as I could. I will be posting another today for day 18. This was fun and I’m happy that I got something done. Don’t like going to long without posting something. Anything to my blog.
As always thank you for taking the time to read.
