Nothing like a beautiful book cover to make you smile. Today I bring you my 10 Fave Book Covers. All part of A Month of Favorites. This was easy for me to do because this year we have seen some amazing book covers in the YA section. This where my main focus will be at since I’ve been reading a lot of Young Adult book in the year 2014. So not ramble on any longer here are my 10 Fave Book Covers.

thousandCome you should have known that I would have picked A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray. Just look at that cover and tell me that it’s not the most beautiful thing you have ever seen. This was the main reason why I was drawn to this book. I had no idea what this book was about. I just went with aesthetics and purchased it. This book is on my winter reading list so I will finally know what this book is all about. For now I will just look at the pretty cover.

Snow Like Ashes Sara RaaschNumber 2 on the list would have to be Snow Like Ashes. This cover was fantastic to look at. Not only that but the book was great as well. 5 stars for a high fantasy book done right for the YA generation. Miera is one kick ass female protagonist and the book is one whirlwind ride of action, blood, romance and plain good ole story telling. If you haven’t read this book you are missing out on greatest.

the glass sentenceThe Glass Sentence by S.E. Grove not only have an amazing semi-transparent cover with incredible detail but under the cover is even more amazing. On top of that, the story that S.E. Grove weaves is so magical and adventurous you don’t want the ride to stop. Another 5 star rating for me. I’ll admit that it’s more targeted towards the middle-grader but us old folks can enjoy an adventure or two.

WINTERSPELL-FINALNow I have not read this book yet but it too is apart of my winter reading. Winterspell by Claire Legard is a retelling of the Nutcracker but the cover is hauntingly beautiful in my opinion. I don’t know who the woman on the cover is but she;s doing the damn thing. And I love her hair. Why can’t my hair look that lovely without the split ends? So shiny and bouncy. Yes I know that shouldn’t be criteria for this catagory but it is in my opinion.

belleEpoque_lgAnother book that I don’t think enough people are reading. Belle Epoque by Elizabeth Ross has an exquisite cover. It’s the story of Maude who is use as an amplifier to make women of the upper class look more beautiful for their suitors. At that time Maude was considered plain and unappealing. She was considered ugly by most. It sad but this actually happened and I couldn’t believe. Anyway, this story was very intriguing and interesting to say the least. Thoroughly enjoyed the book.

missI don’t know if you would call it beautiful, I prefer strange and inviting. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs is one of my favorite reads of 2014. It’s a book you either love or hate. I happen to love it. Especially all the black and white photos that accompany the book. So are weird, while others are creepy. That to me is what gives the book atmosphere.

BamericanThe Beautiful American by Jeanne Mackin. What can I say? Another gorgeous cover. This has also made it to my winter reading. I’m going to be one busy blogger this month. If you don’t know I love books that deal with the 1940’s and the WWII era and The Beautiful American happens to be on of those books. I haven’t seen much talk about this book. I believe this is a good book that wants to be read by others. Hoping to have a review up for this one.

STITCHI like covers that I can pet. To feel the textures and bump and groves. Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis is one of those books. So pretty to look at and to touch and to hold. Just love the design of the book all around. You problem think I’m superficial but I swear I’m not but sometimes a nice cover gets me and grabs me in and I just have to purchase. Some purchases are worth the pretty cover and some I wish I though twice about getting. Stitching Snow is not one of my bad purchases.

don't touchSimple, elegant and straight to the point. Don’t Touch by Rachel M. Wilson is not only one of my fave reads of 2014 but the cover it just so freaking lovely and it conveys what the whole book is about. Caddie the main battles OCD throughout the book while trying out for the main role in a play for the school that she is attending. It’s such a good read. It deals with love, mending old friendships and getting over your fears. Both rational and irrational.

Storm SirenOkay so maybe coming up with this list wasn’t as easy as I thought because I’m leaving off some other amazing booking with amazing and beautiful book covers but I could only do ten so I’m sorry to all those that got left behind. For my tenth and final book, I chose Storm Siren by Mary Weber. By the way I’m not stalking her just because I mention how much I love her book and how I can’t wait until Storm Fury comes out. When I appreciate a good book or author I talk about them. Just want to spread the word on good books to read, Anyways, I really loved this book. It’s another one of my favorite reads of 2014.

So that is my list and I know it’s late to be posting but I was super busy today. So sorry about the delay. As always thank you for taking the time to read what I have to say. Feel free to leave a comment or feedback. Thanks.
