Let’s state the obvious. I missed two days out of the 30 for Novembers’ NaBloPoMo. You can blame it on family. I was simple having too much fun to worry about what I wanted to blog. I know, I know, I should have a pre-scheduled post ready and waiting but I was busy doing last minute food shopping and then I was baking homemade cakes cookies and pies. On top of that I was in charged of the turkey. I might add that the turkey was hella good. Juicy and delicious and so flavorful. How do i know this? Well my family left none for leftovers. Which is a bummer because all of that cooking I did I hardly had anything left. It’s a good and bad thing. On the good side you don’t have much to clean and try to find space in you fridge. On the bad side, I don’t want to be cooking. I did enough for two days. A girl just wants to pop a plate in the microwave and curl up and read a book. Still I had fun with the family even if I didn’t have time to read not one page of a good book. Sometimes you sacrifice for the greater good. And that happens to be my family at the moment.
Now that I got that out of the way I want to say that this experience was awesome. It has challenged me in ways that I never could have imagined. For one thing my writing as a blogger is improving. I still have work to do but I’m finding my voice and know how I want my blog to be represented over the web. Secondly, I ‘met’ some amazing people/bloggers through this amazing experience. People who give me inspiration and I hope to get to know better has time goes on. Like I always said: the blogging community is your friend. Not only does it get your name out there but it also helps you to see what you’re in for a beginner blogger. You’re not going to magically get over a thousand followers because you have a cute domain name. Unless you’re that lucky person that can garner that many followers. If so, you Rock! For the rest of us, it’s hard work. A lot of hard work but well worth. It lets me know who are my followers and the best way to cater to that group of wonderful people.
Because my followers are the best. I started September 28. Two months ago and I have 300 followers that I’m so grateful for. Without them I would have stopped so long ago. Yes I have a confidence problem and self-doubt is a problem for me but some of you already know this. Anyways, I really appreciate all the support and to show how much I appreciate my followers, I will be doing a Massive Giveaway!!! Just need to work on the details. If you my dear followers have any suggestions please leave a comment or some feedback. I would like to hear your thoughts.
So where was I? Oh yes, NaBloPoMo has been good to me and I will definitely participate in this event again next year. By then my writing voice and skills should be killer. Or at least somewhat better. English is my first language and I still don’t understand her all that well.
Last thing before I go. I’m will be participate in A Month of Favorites. I found this through Traveling with T and I will have more details. It’s basically like NaBloPoMo but with a theme. Plus I want to share some of my favorite things with you. We might have some in common.
As always thank you for taking the time to come over here and read what I have to write. You are the best.
