Boring Book, Can I get a refund?, Not So Goodreads, Rin Chupeco, Sour Sundays, The Girl From the Well

Sour Sundays @ The Girl From the Well

Yes it’s that time again. Sour Sundays are upon us and I bring to you The Girl From the Well by Rin Chupeco. The book that ruined my October Spookfest. Not only is this book not scary or at least a bit creepy–it’s boring as hell. I only managed to get 20 pages through before I gave up. As a book lover and avid reader, the one thing that I hate is giving up on a book but this waste of paper did me in. It was my Krytonite. This is one book where I wish that I had borrowed from the library. Cause with all my heart I hate wasting money. Maybe I can sell it back on Amazon or something. Cause this will not be apart of my growing book collection.

What I don’t understand is how this book got published. Or how it’s considered horror and supernatural. This should be in the section of “I’m having a hard time falling a sleep–got anything?” The Girl From The Well will definitely cure any insomnia that you might be facing. Yes I’m being harsh but this is how I feel. No way in hell this short of a book should be unreadable. Just not possible. No that’s not true–Red Pony by John Steinbeck. I had a hard time getting through that book as well. My excuse though is that I was a rather young child and the reading bug did not take a hold of me.

Anyway if you are looking for a book to bore you to death, I suggest The Girl From The Well by Rin Chupeco. I will never look at the movie the Ring again. I will forever be haunted by this….(insert profanity latent rant here). Breath. No need to get extra nasty. Everybody knows I hate this book. Somewhere, someone will love it and I’m happy that you do. It just wasn’t me.

Since I did not actually finish this book I wasn’t willing to do a full review. This is purely a rant and why I dislike this book so much. That is the purpose of Sour Sundays. If you wish to see a full review I sure you can go to Goodreads or Amazon or Barnes and Noble to find out whether or not you wish to buy, borrow or read this book. As Always thank you for your support. Without you I would have gave up a long time ago. Please leave a comment or feedback. It is highly appreciated.

  1. Ouch! I’m glad that wasn’t a review of my book. Still, it was honest and some books do deserve that sort of review. It does make you wonder, given how hard it is to get a book published, how some get chosen.

  2. I felt that way about 50 Shades of Grey – as in I just wasted 30 minutes of my time reading that drivel (I didn’t finish it). I enjoyed reading the scathing reviews of it more than anything!
